The Bogey Hills Ladies Golf Association season has begun!  We had a well-attended opening luncheon and meeting.  The meeting was informative and paved the way for a lovely lunch and lively conversation.  To get back in the swing, our first two Tuesdays of play were a Do Over Tournament and Invitational Scramble.  The month of May introduces our weekly game winners and golfer-of-the-month.

We want to extend a warm welcome to New League Members Sheila Black, Patricia Gouzien, Cynthia Haehnel, Natalie Rohlfing, Dana Snider, and Tracy Strothcamp.  We continue to welcome new members throughout the season!  You do not have to play

every week, just play whenever you can.  There are membership forms in the Ladies Locker Room. 

 

We also extend a warm welcome to Assistant Golf Professional Spencer Hollis, who was born and raised in Eugene, OR.  Spencer will be our Tuesday League staff contact.  He will send weekly emails to BHLGA members to sign up for play. You can also sign up on the bulletin board in the Ladies Locker Room.  If your plans change, please call the Pro Shop or email shollis@bogeyhillscc.com as soon as possible to cancel your signup.  This assists the Pro Shop in pairing players for Tuesday morning.

 

Thanks to Golf Pros Andy Jones and Maggie Smith, who hosted another fun and informative Ladies Golf Social Hour.  The ladies mixed and mingled, practiced putting, and received key tips from the pros. 

 

A Rules Seminar will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at 5:30 p.m. with Head Greens Superintendent Chad Fetter and Head Golf Pro Ryan Roy.  They will discuss our local course rules.  Please RSVP to wjohnson@bogeyhillscc.com or 636-946-6250 x102. 

 

It is not too early to mark your calendar for the Ladies League Member Guest Tournament and

Luncheon on Tuesday, June 11.  The theme this year is “Come on Barbie, Let’s go Golf.”  The

cost is $75 per person, payable to Bogey Hills Ladies Member Guest and deliverable to

Treasurer Pat Senft Wessel.  See the notice and watch for the signup sheet in the Ladies

Locker Room.

The Ladies Fun League starts on Thursday, May 2, at 5:30 p.m.  This is an opportunity for

ladies of all skill levels to meet and play with other lady golfers.  Contact Golf Pro Maggie

Smith at 636-946-6250 x303 if you have questions.

 

The first day of Interclub will take place on Thursday, June 13, at Whitmoor Country Club. 

Look for information on the bulletin board in the Ladies Locker Room.  Interclub is a

wonderful opportunity to play other St. Louis Women’s District courses without meeting

a handicap requirement.

 

St. Louis Women’s District Golf Association Team Captain Julie Baker, Corresponding

Director Gail Walters, and District Directors Sharon Gietl and Judy Tindall, along with

Past Presidents Belinda Green and Bev Frein, attended the Opening Meeting and

Luncheon at Greenbriar Hills Country Club.  Sharon and Gail were on a team that

placed first in their flight.
